Job summary

UMECH CONSTRUCTION SDN.BHD. is seeking a capable Site Engineer to coordinate mechanical and electrical works with civil, structural, and architectural teams on infrastructure projects in Malaysia.

You will ensure M&E installation aligns with approved drawings, monitor progress, and support drawing reviews and technical submissions. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Knowledge in M&E systems and construction coordination
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation

Coordinate all Mechanical & Electrical works with civil, structural, and architectural teams

Ensure M&E installation complies with approved drawings and project specifications

Resolve site coordination and technical issues among subcontractors and consultants

Attend site coordination meetings and progress meetings

2. Site Supervision

Supervise daily M&E activities on-site

Monitor installation progress and workmanship quality

Ensure works are carried out according to project schedule and safety requirements

Conduct inspections and verify completed works

3. Technical & Drawing Review

Review shop drawings, construction drawings, and method statements

Identify clashes between M&E and structural/infrastructure components

Coordinate drawing revisions and technical submissions

Assist in authority inspections and approvals

4. Progress Monitoring

Track project progress and prepare weekly/monthly reports

Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment requirements

Monitor subcontractor performance and work completion

Coordinate testing and commissioning activities

Ensure all M&E systems function according to design requirements

Prepare handover documents, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and company procedures

Maintain quality standards and project specifications

Ensure all works comply with local authority requirements

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services

Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure/structural/construction projects

Knowledge in M&E systems and construction coordination
