Job summary

PLB-KH BINA SDN. BHD. seeks a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Coordinator to supervise and coordinate M&E works at construction sites in Penang. You will liaise with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities include reviewing M&E drawings and specs, coordinating with architectural/structural teams, monitoring progress and safety, and coordinating testing, commissioning and handover of installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in high-rise building projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor M&E works at construction sites.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Coordinate M&E works with architectural and structural works to avoid clashes and delays.
• Monitor site progress, quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate resolution of technical and site issues.
• Assist in preparing project reports, documentation and progress updates.
• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements and project schedules.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover of M&E installations.
