Job summary

VESTLAND RESOURCES SDN BHD is seeking an M&E Coordinator to drive the delivery of mechanical and electrical systems on construction projects. You will coordinate design, site execution, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality installation.

The role emphasizes planning M&E work programmes, reviewing layouts, resolving clashes, coordinating with consultants and authorities, and supporting handover with proper documentation. CIDB certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in M&E coordination within the construction environment.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, ELV, and building services systems.
• Familiar with Malaysian statutory requirements and construction practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; BIM/Revit knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight project timelines.
• Possession of CIDB Green Card or relevant certifications will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily M&E activities on site to ensure alignment with project schedules and construction sequencing.
• Assist in planning M&E work programmes and monitor progress to meet project milestones.
• Ensure proper integration of M&E services with architectural, structural, and civil works.
• Review M&E layouts, shop drawings, and technical submissions for constructability and coordination accuracy.
• Identify clashes, discrepancies, or installation constraints and propose corrective actions.
• Provide technical clarification to site teams and subcontractors during execution.
• Conduct regular inspections of M&E works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor workmanship, installation methods, and material usage per project requirements.
• Coordinate rectification works and follow up on outstanding defects.
• Act as a key contact between consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team on M&E matters.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and relevant authorities.
• Ensure statutory requirements and safety regulations are observed throughout project execution.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and performance verification of M&E systems.
• Assist in preparing operation & maintenance manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation.
• Support project handover activities to clients and end users.
• Prepare progress updates, inspection reports, and coordination records for management review.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, approvals, material submissions, and testing results.
