Job summary

Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced M&E Coordinator to align mechanical and electrical systems across our projects. You will coordinate site activities, review drawings, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Collaborate with architects, engineers and suppliers, manage schedules and documentation, and support project managers with cost tracking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in M&E coordination or similar role within construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and electrical installations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to conduct site visits and inspections as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating all mechanical and electrical activities on construction sites to ensure smooth project execution
• Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers to facilitate communication
• Reviewing and monitoring M&E drawings, specifications and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Scheduling and coordinating M&E installations, inspections and testing activities
• Maintaining detailed records of project progress, site meetings and any issues encountered
• Ensuring health and safety regulations and construction standards are adhered to at all times
• Managing M&E material procurement and inventory controlIdentifying and resolving conflicts between mechanical and electrical systems and other building components
• Preparing progress reports and documentation for project management and clients
• Supporting the project manager with budget tracking and cost control for M&E works
