Job summary

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo using the crane, balancing loads.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and operating hours.
• Communicate with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to traffic regulations, weight limits and safety protocols at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle.
• Report any mechanical faults or safety hazards to management.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lorry Crane Operator/Driver to join the team at Palladium Builders Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. As a Lorry Crane Operator/Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and manoeuvring crane-equipped vehicles to transport and load/unload materials, equipment and goods at various construction and commercial sites. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of materials whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate lorry crane equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant safety regulations and company procedures
• Transport materials, equipment and goods to designated locations, ensuring cargo is properly secured and protected during transit
• Perform pre-operation inspections of the lorry crane to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Load and unload cargo using the crane apparatus, taking care to balance loads and prevent damage to materials and surrounding areas
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, cargo details and operating hours
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, warehouse staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, weight limits and safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle to keep it in optimal working condition
• Report any mechanical faults or safety hazards to management immediately

What we're looking for

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (HVL) or equivalent credential
• Current Lorry Crane Operator certification or licence, as required by local regulations
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience operating lorry cranes in a commercial or construction environment
• Proven track record of safe driving and equipment operation with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of load calculations, weight distribution and securing techniques
• Excellent spatial awareness and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required
• Knowledge of construction sites and safety protocols is highly desirable
