Job summary

The ideal candidate has HVL, a current Lorry Crane Operator certification, 3–5 years of experience, and a proven safe driving record. You will work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Valid HVL or equivalent license.
• Current Lorry Crane Operator certification/licence.
• 3–5 years’ experience with lorry cranes.
• Proven safe driving record.
• Knowledge of load calculations and securing techniques.
• Excellent spatial awareness.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving.
• Physically fit for manual tasks.
• Familiar with construction sites and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorry crane equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Transport materials to designated locations, securing cargo during transit.
• Perform pre-operation inspections of the lorry crane.
• Load and unload cargo using the crane, balancing loads.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and operating hours.
• Communicate with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to traffic regulations, weight limits and safety protocols at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle.
• Report any mechanical faults or safety hazards to management.
