Job summary

Labgistics Malaysia, under the Commercial Support Services Division, seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to lead warehousing and supply chain functions in a growth-focused role. You will champion operational excellence, drive warehouse setup and optimisation initiatives, and build a high-performing team reporting to the General Manager.

You will oversee inbound/outbound logistics, inventory accuracy and process compliance while liaising with Service Quality and Customer Service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, warehousing or logistics or related field.
• Experience in warehouse/3PL/4PL and transport distribution in medical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a warehousing environment (GDPMD certified preferred).
• Proficient in warehouse management system software and MS Office applications; able to deliver presentations in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Proficient in English communications, including written and verbal.
• Demonstrated leadership with track record of developing and managing local teams.
• Strong accountability, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in warehouse setup and system implementation; WMS and ERP are added advantages.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehousing and supply chain operations to drive inventory management and warehouse excellence.

• Plan, manage and execute end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, secondary assembly and transportation.

• Act as the key customer interface for all operational matters, including outsourced transport.
• Manage projects with inter-departmental teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Drive continuous improvements in inventory control, cost optimisation and quality standards.
• Lead process-improvement culture and embed best practices across teams beyond the project lifecycle.
• Identify operational risk and formulate mitigations or contingency measures.
• Champion and drive technology deployment to boost operational capability through technology projects.

This role will champion operational excellence, drive warehouse setup and optimisation initiatives, and build a high-performing team supporting LABG’s strategic growth.The successful hire will report to the General Manager, LABG.

Job Responsibilities

Warehouse & Supply Chain Operations

Lead the warehousing and supply chain teams to drive and deliver project initiatives in inventory management, warehousing excellence and supply chain solutions

Spearhead new warehouse setup, including implementing best practices, demand planning, internal controls, and operational protocols

Plan, manage and execute end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, secondary assembly and transportation.

Ensure accuracy of inventory, stock adjustments and compliance with documented processes.

Work closely with Service Quality and Customer Service Team to actively manage and meet customer expectations.

Act as the key customer interface for all operational matters and manage aspects, including but not limited to outsourced transport.

Responsible for project management, including working with inter-departmental teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and activities of projects

Drive and responsible for continuous improvements in inventory control, cost optimisation and control measures without compromising the quality standards.

Champion and drive innovation and technology deployment to boost operational capability at the organisational level through technology projects

Data, Reporting & Business Support

Manage reporting and tracking of meaningful data using scorecards to track KPI and operational efficiency

Support and participate in all RFQ activities related to redressing, transport and Business Development

Manage the internal and outsource transport performance, contractual alignment, and service quality

To act as Key Account Manager when required

People & Team Development

Manage and lead talent development through recruitment, orientation, training, coaching, counselling, performance management and career development

Compliance, Safety & Quality

Maintain a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with OSHA requirements

Ensure operational compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GDP, GMP, MDA and applicable country regulations

Oversee and manage safe handling and storage of dangerous good and hazardous materials, reviewing methods and techniques periodically

Lead and drive Warehouse Safety and Health (WSH) initiatives to ensure compliance with requirements and implement actions based on WSH risk assessment reports

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Warehousing or Logistics or related field.

Experience in warehouse/3PL/4PL and transport distribution in medical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a warehousing environment (preferably GDPMD certified).
Proven experience in new warehouse setup in Malaysia.

Proficient in warehouse management system software and MS Office applications and able to deliver presentations confidently in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing local teams.
