Job summary

Union Harvest (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Logistics Executive (Import & Export) to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. You will coordinate import/export shipments, prepare shipping docs, ensure customs compliance and timely delivery.

In this full-time role, you will liaise with carriers, brokers, and internal departments, monitor shipments, and contribute to cost control while upholding high accuracy and timely delivery standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics, import/export or customs operations.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications and international trade regulations.
• Proficiency with shipment tracking and documentation management tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating import and export shipments, including booking transportation and arranging logistics documentation.
• Preparing and reviewing shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists and customs declarations.
• Liaising with customs brokers, shipping agents and carriers to ensure smooth clearance and timely delivery of goods.
• Monitoring shipments throughout transit and providing updates to management and customers.
• Ensuring compliance with customs regulations, tariff classifications and international trade regulations.
• Managing import and export costs, including freight charges, duties and taxes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolving issues related to shipments, delays or documentation discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate records of all import and export transactions and filing necessary reports.
• Coordinating with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure goods are properly received and stored.
• Communicating with customers regarding shipment status and delivery timelines.
• Handle ad-hoc logistics projects and special requests from management.

About the role

Union Harvest (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Logistics Executive (Import & Export) to join our dynamic logistics team. This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in managing our import and export operations. As a Logistics Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as it directly impacts our ability to deliver products to customers on time and in accordance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating import and export shipments, including booking transportation and arranging logistics documentation

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in logistics systems, including shipment tracking and documentation management tools


• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders


• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing documentation and managing records


• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving logistics challenges


• Familiarity with major Malaysian ports and transportation hubs


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in logistics, supply chain management or customs clearance are preferred


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with ERP systems is advantageous
