Job summary

PacTech Asia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistics Assistant in Penang/Bayan Lepas to support warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and materials. The role involves coordinating with forwarders (Fedex, DHL, UPS), ensuring accurate, well-packaged shipments and tracking deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience or a relevant certificate, knowledge of warehouse operations, and proficiency with office software and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent related experience; OR
• Certificate in relevant discipline with minimum 3 years of related experience
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and safe chemical handling
• Ability to use computer information systems and standard Office software
• Strong attention to detail, organization and teamwork
• Fulfill the physical requirements of the position and possess own transport

Responsibilities

• Assist in warehouse operations including receipt, storage, and distribution of spare parts, raw materials, packaging and chemicals
• Coordinate with forwarders or courier services (Fedex, DHL, UPS), ensure outgoing shipments are accurate and well packed, track deliveries
• Receive incoming materials, verify against shipment orders, check condition, store and file documentation
• Maintain adequate shipping material supplies and conduct regular inventories (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly)
• Use office software for inventory management, databases, spreadsheets, email and word processing at an intermediate level

Job description

Assist in warehouse operations, managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of spare parts, raw materials, packaging, and chemicals.

Made arrangement with forwarder or courier services (Fedex, DHL, UPS), ensure that the outgoing shipment is accurate and well packaged, track shipments and ensure delivery.

Responsible for receiving incoming materials, verifying them against the shipment order, checking their condition, storing them in the warehouse, and filing all associated documentation.

To maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials, warehouses conduct inventories on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule.

Using office software including: Inventory management information systems, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic mail and word processing applications (at an intermediate level of proficiency).

Job Requirements:

SPM/STPM/Diploma in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, logistics or other relevant discipline and 2 years of recent, related experience; OR

Certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g. logistics, transportation and distribution, etc.) and minimum of 3 years of related experience

knowledge of warehouse operations, including safe chemical handling.

Ability to use computer information systems (e.g. warehouse inventory) and standard Office software.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork.

Fulfill the physical requirements of the position (e.g. lift 8 kg boxes or 20kg Chemical Jerricansusing ergonomically correct lifting techniques).

Possess own transport
