Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a Loan Documentation Officer to review and verify legal documents, ensuring compliance with the terms of the Offer Letter and Credit Proposal, and to drive timely disbursement.

The role requires 1+ year in credit-related operations with priority for SME/Commercial lending documentation. You will liaise with solicitors, legal teams, product and sales, and support teams in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in credit-related operations.
• Experience in the documentation and disbursement of SME/Commercial/Corporate lending facilities will be given priority.
• Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Law, or related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Performance-driven with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify legal documentation to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the Letter of Offer and Credit Proposal and ensure timely completion of loan documentation through to facility disbursement.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including solicitors, valuers, Legal, Product, Sales, Business Units, and support teams to facilitate the preparation and completion of security documentation.
• Ensure facility disbursements are carried out in accordance with the Bank's policies, regulatory requirements, and turnaround times, with all Conditions Precedent fulfilled prior to disbursement.
• Perform administrative duties, including safekeeping and maintenance of security documents, and support ad hoc assignments, projects, and other related matters.
