Job summary

Malaysian Bar in Subang Jaya, Malaysia is seeking a Litigation Clerk (Banking) / Conveyancing Clerk to support litigation and conveyancing matters. You will prepare, file and organize court documents, handle electronic filing through the EFS, maintain case files and coordinate hearing dates, liaise with courts and clients, and assist lawyers with routine letters and document service.

Requirements include a diploma or SPM/STPM, at least 1 year of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word

Qualifications

• Education: SPM/STPM/Diploma
• At least 1 year of experience in handling litigation & conveyancing matter/legal services and specializing in Litigation & Conveyancing.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, excel, email, file management, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Responsible and have good working attitude

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and organize court documents, including pleadings and affidavits
• Handle electronic filing of documents through the EFS (Electronic Filing System)
• Extract and retrieve documents from the EFS system
• Maintain and manage both physical and electronic case files
• Calendar and monitor hearing dates, trial dates, and deadlines
• Liaise and communicate with courts, clients, and relevant parties
• Draft routine correspondence and legal letters
• Arrange and coordinate service of legal documents
• Ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with procedures
• Any other tasks as assigned
• To handle all other related conveyancing matters such as sub sale, perfection of transfer and charge
• able to monitor and follow up closely with all the files, attending to client correspondences, report and update to Lawyers
