Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Demi Chef to assist in food preparation and cooking in a kitchen. This role ensures dishes are prepared according to standards, maintaining quality, consistency, and hygiene in a restaurant or fine dining environment.

The Demi Chef will prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, ensure quality and portioning, maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow HACCP, assist with stock, and guide Commis when needed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of kitchen experience.
• Good knowledge of cooking and kitchen operations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and HACCP standards.
• Assist in stock handling and proper storage of ingredients.
• Guide and support Commis when needed.
