AT&S Malaysia is seeking a Production Planning Controller to monitor and actively control work orders from release to completion, ensuring continuous WIP movement and optimal cycle time. You will drive WIP flow discipline with FIFO, priority rules, and queue management, coordinating with production, engineering, and quality to resolve delays.

Monitor and actively control work orders from release to completion to ensure continuous WIP movement, prevent stagnation, and maintain optimal cycle time performance.
Drive WIP flow discipline by enforcing FIFO, priority rules, and queue management practices to minimize aging lots and ensure balanced line loading.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve any issues causing WIP delays.
Ensure WO status is updated accurately in SAP/MES or other planning systems.
Identify bottlenecks, WIP accumulation points, and flow interruptions, and execute immediate corrective actions to restore smooth production flow and prevent downstream impact.
Conduct daily WIP review, aging analysis, and shop floor line walks to validate actual WIP movement versus plan and ensure adherence to flow targets.
Ensure priority lots, hot orders, and customer shipments are expedited through controlled WIP movement and effective coordination across processes.
Communicate real-time line status, risks, and recovery actions to PPC and production management.
Supervise LC staff in shift coverage, task distribution, and performance monitoring.
Escalate any line issues impacting shipment or target achievement promptly.
Drive initiatives to improve line control efficiency and data accuracy.
Support implementation of dashboards, and standard work procedures.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning control.
Strong understanding of WIP flow, production scheduling, and shop floor control.
Experience with SAP, MES, or equivalent systems is an advantage
Good communication and leadership skills to coordinate across departments.
Able to work in fast-paced and dynamic production environments.
Required to support weekend duty on a rotational basis.
