Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified legal professional to join our team. The role is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and compliance support across the business, with a focus on contracts management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will ensure the company’s operations align with legal requirements and internal policies while supporting day-to-day legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Contracts and Document Management
Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Oversee contract execution to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Develop, maintain, and update key company documents, including corporate policies, standard contracts, and employee handbooks, and ensure their proper custody and version control.
Legal Advisory and Compliance Support
Provide timely legal advice and support for daily business operations, including areas such as employment, intellectual property, and commercial law.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations, assess business impact, and recommend practical solutions.
Assist in developing and enhancing the company’s compliance framework and processes.
Corporate Governance and Record-Keeping
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of company records, registers, and statutory filings in compliance with SSM and other regulatory requirements.
Manage the company seal, including its safekeeping, usage records, and administration in line with policies.
Maintain a centralized database of legal and corporate documents (e.g., contracts, licenses, trademarks) and track renewals and deadlines.
Liaise with external company secretaries, auditors, regulators, and other authorities on corporate and legal matters.
Risk Management, Dispute Resolution, and Training
Identify and assess legal risks in business activities and propose preventive measures.
Assist in managing legal disputes, litigation, or arbitration, and coordinate with external law firms as needed.
Support legal training initiatives to enhance employees’ awareness of compliance and legal policies.
Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law; Passing the Bar exam is a PLUS.
Work Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in legal or law firm roles; Corporate legal experience is preferred.
Professional Skills:
Familiarity with corporate law, contract law, labor law, and other relevant legal areas.
Strong ability to draft and review contracts with excellent legal analysis and logical thinking skills.
Proficiency in risk identification and management.
Other Qualities:
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
