Job summary

Carsem in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead the department and ensure productivity, yield, quality, cost and cycle time targets are met. You will supervise a large team including over 10 engineers and 50 technicians, and coordinate with QA, Engineering and Maintenance.

You will drive training, qualification of new products, and implementation of best practices, while ensuring adherence to SOPs and customer scorecard requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in test engineering IC environment.
• Solid leadership experience, managed >10 engineers and >50 technicians.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct department resources to improve productivity, yield, quality, cost and cycle time.
• Ensure product testing meets customer satisfaction and equipment is properly maintained.
• Liaise with customers on technical issues, improvement programs, new product testing and transfer opportunities.
• Conduct evaluation and recommend new test equipment.
• Accountable for the profit and loss performance of the individual product lines.
• Plan and identify the necessary training course to upgrade knowledge, skill and personal development of subordinates.
• Plan, identify and execute cost down projects to meet department KRA goal.
• Responsible to coordinate and ensure subordinate to meet the customer score card requirement.
• Plan and coordinate all the new product qualification to ensure all the new product release to production as per scheduled.
• Quality Accountability: Enforce SOPs, coordinate line quality issues across QA, Eng and Maintenance; track quality performance; communicate quality alerts.
