Job summary

UST is seeking a Lead Test Development Engineer in Malaysia to translate product designs into a complete test strategy, selecting ICT/FCT/boundary-scan/flying-probe mixes and defining fixture coverage. You will own test concepts through validation, production release, and sustaining support.

The role covers end-to-end test strategy, fixture development, automated testing with LabVIEW and NI TestStand, and integration with MES for traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering or related field.
• Strong hands-on PCBA test development experience, ICT and FCT.
• Ability to justify a PCB test coverage strategy.
• Experience with ICT fixture/probe development using PCB design data (Gerber/ODB++).
• Knowledge of boundary scan/JTAG, flying probe, ICT, and FCT methods.
• Hands-on LabVIEW development for automated test software.
• Experience with NI TestStand or equivalent test sequencing framework.
• Strong instrument-control and hardware/software integration skills.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQ, VNAs, Hipot/IR testing.
• Experience with GR&R, coverage validation, correlation, CPk.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end PCBA test strategies and coverage matrices.
• Own ICT test and fixture development including probe locations.
• Drive test coverage and verify traceability to requirements.
• Develop automated test systems using LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
• Integrate test equipment and MES for traceability and production control.
• Perform GR&R and measurement-system analysis.
• Ensure electrical safety and proper test limits.
• Provide engineering handover documents and support ramp.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
