Lam Research in Malaysia is seeking a Test Engineer—Sustaining/Development—to drive product quality and test excellence across development and manufacturing. You will lead test strategies, collaborate with global teams, and push for rapid issue resolution while supporting supplier interfaces and test readiness.

The role requires strong technical skills in electrical/mechanical testing, scripting, and process controls, with 10-20% travel to domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Test Stand, LabVIEW, Python or similar scripting languages.
• Strong system-level troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical and fluid handling.
• Experience driving test KPI improvements.
• Experience with control systems and industrial communication: EtherCAT, RS485, RS232.

Responsabilités

• Ensure high quality and reliability of new product or product in transition prior to manufacturing release.
• Develop and execute test strategies; identify bugs and drive timely issue resolution.
• Own and drive test sustainment and closure during ramp.
• Collaborate with SET global commodity heads and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Organize and lead internal and external technical review meetings.
• Provide data-driven insights to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Interface with suppliers to deliver test solutions and enhancements.
• Drive manufacturing test readiness including fixture qualification and production deployment.
• This role requires 10-20% travel (domestic and international).
