Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia, seeks Direct Test Engineers I & II who will design, develop and maintain test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

You will lead test engineering activities across the team, recruit and develop staff, set measurable goals, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of related experience in test engineering.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience interviewing and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional engineering test activities across ICT, FVT, and system levels.
• Manage the engineering test function for standard and custom devices.
• Evaluate test procedures and equipment to improve quality checks.
• Develop special test equipment and software test programs.
• Provide training and assist test engineers.
• Coordinate with customers as a technical liaison.
