InterContinental 62s Group plc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Chef de Partie / Sous Chef to lead the Colleague Restaurant kitchen on shift, driving quality, safety and consistent service for colleagues. You will develop training plans, work with the Training Manager, and collaborate with HR and hotel teams to maintain morale, execute menus, monitor costs, and uphold Regent standards.

This role requires strong leadership, culinary excellence and English fluency, with a Malaysian work rights

Qualifications

Degree or vocational certificate in Culinary Arts or related field.
3-5 years in a professional kitchen; 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong culinary skills across a variety of cuisines; creative menu development.
Working knowledge of menu costing and high-volume kitchen operations.
Ability to lead, train and inspire a kitchen team.
Fluent English; other languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead the Colleague Restaurant kitchen on shift, delegating duties while upholding safety and quality standards.
Assist the Executive Sous Chef in developing training plans and materials with the Training Manager, in line with IHG guidelines.
Foster good rapport and effective two-way communication with the kitchen team, HR and hotel colleagues.
Monitor morale, provide regular performance feedback, and contribute to performance appraisals for the team.
Support daily, weekly and monthly planning with the Executive Chef, assigning skill-based tasks appropriately.
Assist with ordering food supplies and kitchen equipment, checking deliveries against quality standards.
Support the preparation and monitoring of the departmental annual budget.
