Job summary

HFG Insurance Recruitment is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with Oracle Fusion Cloud experience to join our Finance & HC Technology team in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead BAU support and drive system enhancements across Finance and Procurement modules.

You will troubleshoot, coordinate with IT and vendors, participate in SIT/UAT, and help deploy regional Oracle Fusion initiatives. Strong English and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud BAU and enhancements.
• Oracle Cloud certifications in Finance or Procurement.
• Strong hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance modules (GL/AR/AP/FAH).
• Experience in application support, software development or technical solutioning.
• Proficient with Oracle Fusion development tools: PL/SQL, OIC, OTBI, BI Publisher.
• Experience with SIT/UAT, defect tracking (JIRA/HP ALM), and test automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; able to work independently and in teams.

JD - Lead Software Engineer (Oracle Fusion)

About the Role

The Finance & HC Technology team is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join the Oracle Fusion Cloud support team, focusing on the Finance and Procurement modules.

The role will be primarily responsible for BAU (Business As Usual) application support and system enhancements following the rollout of Oracle Fusion Cloud. The successful candidate will serve as a key technical contact for Oracle Fusion Finance and Procurement, working closely with users, IT teams, source systems and vendors to troubleshoot issues, assess enhancement requirements and support ongoing system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide BAU and application support for Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance and Procurement modules.
• Support Oracle Fusion Finance modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Financial Accounting Hub (FAH).
• Analyse and assess the technical impact of issues, incidents and enhancement requests raised by users or source-system IT teams.
• Troubleshoot application and integration-related issues and follow through to resolution.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide solutioning support with business users, IT teams and source-system support teams.
• Support system enhancements and change requirements following the Oracle Fusion rollout.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Identify, document and track defects using standard tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
• Establish and follow through on resolution plans for identified defects and technical issues.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors during post-go-live support and enhancement activities.
• Support ongoing Oracle Fusion initiatives and deployments across regional teams.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with users, IT teams, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to organisational IT, project and support standards and best practices.
• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud, particularly in providing BAU/application support and system enhancements.
• Oracle Cloud certifications in Finance [GL, AR, AP and FAH] or Procurement.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance modules, particularly GL, AR, AP and/or FAH.
• Technical background with experience in application support, software development or technical solutioning.
• Experience troubleshooting Oracle Fusion issues and supporting production/BAU environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion development and technical tools such as: PL/SQL, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), OTBI, BI Publisher.
• Experience supporting system enhancements, technical requirements and change requests.
• Experience participating in SIT and UAT.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to undertake short‑duration travel to Singapore as required.
