Job summary

DÜRR DENTAL South East-Asia SDN BHD is expanding its software development presence in Malaysia to deliver AI‑driven, cloud‑based dental software solutions. The role focuses on building scalable cloud infrastructure and backend services for ML inference workloads.

You will collaborate with data science and product teams, lead architectural reviews, and mentor engineers to drive standardized, reusable platform patterns across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills and backend focus.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and containerized workloads.
• Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Nice to have: distributed systems, ML model serving frameworks, observability, security practices, or cost optimization.

Your Responsibilities:

• design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and backend services that reliably serve ML inference workloads at scale
• design, implement, and operate the platform components and automation needed to manage production ML workloads
• collaborate with data science and product teams to deliver production‑grade AI services
• enhance observability, performance, and reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continuous improvement
• lead architecture reviews, establish engineering standards, mentor engineers, and drive reusable platform patterns across teams

Requirements:

• strong Python skills (or similar languages) for backend and infrastructure automation
• hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD, and containerized workloads
• expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including compute, networking, storage, and managed services
• excellent communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership
• bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience
• nice to have: distributed systems, ML model serving frameworks, observability, security practices, or cost optimization
