DÜRR DENTAL South East-Asia SDN BHD is expanding its software development presence in Malaysia to advance AI-based and cloud-based dental software solutions. The role focuses on delivering complex ML pipelines, deep learning for medical imaging, and building robust model serving architectures in a collaborative, international team.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine learning or computer vision.
• Strong Python skills for production-grade code.
• Experience preparing imaging datasets for deep learning and creating train/test splits.
• Ability to design experiments with architectures, losses, baselines, and ablations.
• Understanding of evaluation methodology and applied statistics for model validation.
• Hands-on with CV libraries and ML frameworks.
• Familiarity with experiment tracking tools.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's or Master’s in STEM or equivalent practical experience.
• Nice to have: medical imaging, active learning, MLOps, or model serving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex machine learning pipelines across data preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Perform applied research on deep learning models for medical image segmentation, detection, and classification.
• Design rigorous evaluation frameworks with meaningful metrics and test sets.
• Collaborate with clinical and annotation teams on labeling strategy and data quality.
• Build and maintain model pipelines for efficient data loading, training, evaluation, and versioned artifacts.
• Design and own the model serving layer including pre-processing, inference, and post-processing.
• Instrument production models with monitoring for prediction quality and data drift.
• Conduct code, design, and experiment reviews and mentor less-experienced engineers.
