Job summary

OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Deputy Supervisor - Sample & Sampling Preparation to manage day-to-day sample handling, preparation, scheduling and record-keeping in Samalaju, Bintulu.

Candidate must have a Diploma or Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering/Science, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and good communication and management skills. Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage; willing to work at Samalaju, Bintulu Sarawak.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering/Science or equivalent.
• Requires at least 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
• Good communication and management skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Willing to work in Samalaju, Bintulu Sarawak.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare samples, schedule work, and keep records.
• Check incoming raw materials and coordinate inspections and testing.
• Supervise sampling, preparation, and grading processes.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide timely feedback.
• Enforce workplace discipline and safety compliance.
• Assist to supervise Auxiliary department staff for SH&E compliance.
• Carry out other duties as directed by superiors.
