Job summary

Allied Chemists Laboratory in Taman Senai, Johor is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support routine chemical analyses and sample preparation in the Seagate laboratory area.

Responsibilities include handling COD/BOD, pH, moisture content, conductivity, turbidity, proper waste disposal, PPE usage, and maintaining glassware and lab areas in clean condition.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Science discipline (Chemistry / Chemical Engineering) or Certificate or SPM in science discipline.
• Min 1 year working experience.
• Experience in handling laboratory analysis & instrument such as COD, BOD, pH, moisture content, conductivity and turbidity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain neatness and clean spills at the Seagate laboratory.
• Keep equipment and glassware in good condition and clean.
• Dispose overdue samples from the refrigerator.

Scope of Work

• Maintain in neat and cleaning up any spills at the Seagate laboratory
• Equipment and glassware to be maintained in good condition and clean.
• Responsible to dispose the overdue sample from the refrigerator.

Administrative

• Wear proper PPE within working area
• Non interruption to manufacturing operation
• Support to manufacturing (treatability test & etc)
• Attend meeting as required/needed
• Punctuality when attend meeting (whenever required/needed)
• Daily report when needed
• Timely report submission
• Manpower management
• Log book / Pass down communication
• Perform any other duties assigned to you from time to time by your Chemist or the management.
