Job summary

Team Keris Berhad (TKB) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee all QS and contract matters for project execution in Perak. You will prepare cost estimates, budgets, take-offs and cost analyses while monitoring costs against budgets and specs.

The role requires strong contract administration, cost control and tender management capabilities, with experience in mixed development or commercial projects being advantageous. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in property development or construction industry.
Strong knowledge in contract administration, cost control, variation orders and tender management.
Experience handling mixed development or commercial projects will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Oversee all QS and contractual matters related to project execution including progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders and final accounts.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quantity take-offs and cost comparison analysis.
Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets and specifications.
Manage tender processes including preparation and evaluation of tender documents.
Administer contractual claims including variation orders, extension of time (EOT) and loss & expense claims.
Liaise and negotiate with contractors, consultants and suppliers.
Maintain proper contractual documentation and project records.
Attend site meetings, conduct site valuations and prepare progress reports.
Support management in cost planning and financial reporting.
