Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a strategic commercial professional to lead tendering frameworks and budget control for large-scale renewable energy and storage ventures, collaborating with engineering and delivery teams.

You will formulate cost estimates, budgets, and commercial proposals, evaluate tenders for risks and currency exposure, and drive value engineering and robust compliance through post-bid reviews and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction cost management for large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of solar energy components, substations and storage tech.
• Knowledge of project finance basics, cash flow and international trade terms.

Responsibilities

• Formulate cost estimates, budgets, and commercial proposals for large-scale clean energy projects.
• Evaluate tender designs to identify risks, hidden costs, and currency exposure.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to implement cost-effective design changes.
• Lead contract negotiations, variation orders, and meetings with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Oversee post-bid reviews and mentor junior estimating staff for compliance.
