Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a cost management professional to oversee the full spectrum of pre- and post-contract workflows for industrial developments. You will drive commercial efficiency across projects from data centre facilities to warehouses, coordinating with project management and site teams.

The role requires a strong background in quantity surveying within main contractor settings, with experience in procurement, cost control, and tender analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of quantity surveying experience in a main contractor industrial construction sector.
• Solid understanding of civil, structural and architectural construction methods.
• Proficiency with standard QS software tools and advanced spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender documentation and technical specs to verify operational scopes.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop pricing structures for submissions.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate procurement proposals from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Formulate project progress claims, evaluate variations, and maintain cost control tracking.
• Collaborate with project management and site delivery to align budget requirements.
