Job summary

Boilermech Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced QC inspector to supervise welding inspections, NDT, PWHT and related quality activities across fabrication sites. You will authorize stop-work and reject non-conforming items according to drawings and codes.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of welding procedures, QA documentation, and interpretation of NDT results, with an ability to review drawings and ensure compliance with ASME/BS codes. You will train inspectors and drive quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years in EPCC or equivalent sector.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret codes.
• Experience with NDT and welding inspection.
• Proficient with QA documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Authorize stop-work/reject nonconforming items per drawings/codes.
• Supervise WPS/PQR/WQT and welder qualifications.
• Inspect incoming materials against drawings and mill certs.
• Coordinate with AI/Third Party inspectors for reviews.
• Oversee NDT activities (RT/UT/MPI/DP) per quality plan.
• Review RT films and endorse NDT reports.
• Oversee PWHT procedure and recording charts.
• Compile MDR and ensure calibration records.
• Raise NCRs and drive corrective actions.
• Train QC inspectors on measurement techniques.
