Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Manager (Construction-earthwork and Infrastructure) with a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering and 4–6 years of project management experience. The role oversees projects valued at over RM100 million and requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience in manufacturing plant construction is a plus, and proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven track record of managing construction projects with value > RM100 million.
• Experience in manufacturing plant construction is a plus.
• Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in project planning, implementation, monitoring progress until completion.
• Oversee project objectives, deliverables, timelines and quality.
• Oversee project budget and ensure spending within the approved budget.
• Devise cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.
• Ensure permits and legal papers are secured ahead of project.
• Report project progress to Project Director and Project Management Office.
• Make strategic decisions and provide leadership/direction for project execution.
• Manage risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
• Communicate with the Project Team and contractors (incl. subcontractors) for effective progression of the project.
