Job summary

HOEM Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to manage and execute projects from conception through completion. The role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical design and ASME-compliant fabrication, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in project management for pressure vessels and bulk handling equipment, with proficiency in CAD tools and MS Project. ASME expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of project management, preferably in pressure vessels and bulk handling.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and standards.
• Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Project and reading technical drawings.
• CAD experience (AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from initial design through fabrication and delivery.
• Develop plans, schedules, and budgets with adherence to timelines.
• Collaborate with design, fabrication, and quality teams.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Develop guidelines, manuals, and templates to standardize processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates.
• Ensure compliance with ASME and other standards.
• Provide technical support to project teams.
