Job summary

N2S.Global in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to join a global organization in Petaling Jaya. You will lead Java-based enterprise apps, design REST APIs, and guide architecture and DevOps practices.

You'll work with Spring Boot, microservices, AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS), CI/CD pipelines, and IaC tooling. The role starts as a contract with potential conversion to permanent based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in Java development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS) and CI/CD practices.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation; Git proficiency.
• Solid understanding of design patterns and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Implement IaC and cloud automation best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide technical leadership to development teams.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.

Nice to Have

• Frontend development experience with Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
