Job summary

Minconsult Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Inspector of Works to supervise water pipe replacement and related civil works on site. The role requires strong communication, meticulous reporting, and the ability to work independently and with the project team.

Applicants should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years’ construction supervision experience, including familiarity with local standards and safety requirements. On-site work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• IOW registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is required.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision.
• Experience supervising water pipe replacement and related civil works.
• Good knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect water pipe replacement and related civil works on site.
• Ensure all construction works comply with drawings, specifications, contract requirements and standards.
• Monitor workmanship and material quality on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report non-conformance, defects or delays to the Resident Engineer/Project Manager.
• Witness site testing, inspections and commissioning activities as required.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and inspection documentation.
• Ensure contractors comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and authorities to facilitate project execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Resident Engineer.
