Job summary

Jurutera Konsult Maju Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineering professional to supervise road and highway projects from Kuala Selangor. The candidate must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering and be a Registered Inspector of Work with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, with at least 10 years of field experience.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to read construction drawings and specifications, and readiness to base at Kuala Selangor.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• Registered Inspector of Work with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in road and highway projects.
• Good communications, written and spoken; good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform site supervision and coordination to ensure works meet quality standards and specifications.
• Check, monitor, inspect, and perform quality control checks on work in progress and at final inspection.
• Report non-conforming matters to RE and follow up with Contractor actions.
• Coordinate site work with minimal supervision; maintain good interpersonal skills and analytical problem solving.
• Work under the Resident Engineer’s direction; may require overtime during days or weekends.

Possess a recognized Diploma in Civil Engineering

Registered Inspector of Work with the Board of Engineers Malaysia

Possess good communications skills, both written, spoken and have good computer literacy

Ability to conduct and coordinate site inspection.

Able to read construction drawings and specifications

Be willing to be based at Kuala Selangor

Job Responsibilities

The person requires performing site supervision and coordination to ensure that the works carried out by the Contractors are within quality standards and correcting specification.

To check, monitor, inspect, perform quality control checks, and monitor work in progress and final inspection on completed works.

Reporting on non-conforming matters found during inspection to RE and follow up with Contractor on the action to be taken.

Able to coordinate site work independently with minimum supervision, good interpersonal skills, meticulous, confident, high analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to work under Resident Engineer (RE)'s instruction and direction closely.

Able to work overtime during day time and weekend is an added advantage.

Coordinate and supervise Defect Rectification Works during Defect Liability Period.
