Job summary

MY NAFCO PRECISION SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced engineer to lead heat treatment development and optimization. You will collaborate across R&D, production, and quality teams to validate processes and implement new technologies, ensuring robust operation and compliance with safety standards.

The role emphasizes establishing process parameters, creating standardized furnace operating instructions, and driving continuous improvement for product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of heat treatment processes and metallurgical principles.
• Experience with PFMEA, process control, and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.) and environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with NADCAP standard is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with furnace operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize heat treatment processes to meet product specs and quality standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to implement new technologies and validate processes.
• Establish and control process parameters with documentation of flow, control plans, and work instructions.
• Create and standardize operating instructions for furnace operations, handling, quenching, and cooling.
• Lead PFMEA activities to identify risks and mitigation actions, updating risk assessments.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance through audits and training.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, uptime, and excellence.
