Job summary

Charles Taylor is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join our global operations team in a hands-on technical role focused on Fortinet security, SD-WAN, and cloud networking. The role leads technical investigations, major incident support, and ongoing improvements across a globally distributed Fortinet estate.

The successful candidate will serve as the technical owner for Fortinet platforms, drive design governance, and work with third-party partners to maintain a secure, resilient network

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on experience with Fortinet security stack (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Proven ability to lead technical investigations, incidents, and root cause analyses.
• Experience with cloud networking in Azure and AWS and SD-WAN deployments.
• Strong documentation, governance, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical owner for the global Fortinet network security platform and lifecycle direction.
• Define Fortinet standards and governance across the estate.
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot Fortinet technologies and SD-WAN.
• Lead proofs of concept and pilot implementations for new capabilities.
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to resolve issues and evolve platform.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices across the team.
• Provide on-call support for major incidents and critical service events.
