Lead DevOps Engineer - Leading Fintech Platform - J13309

The Role: Our client is a highly innovative, deeply technical, and lean fintech platform that operates with a flat hierarchy and a culture of "radical ownership." They are seeking a hands-on DevOps Team Lead who thrives in an autonomous environment and wants to take true ownership of modern infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Lead Infrastructure & Security: Oversee the core cloud infrastructure while directly managing the Cybersecurity team (a Cybersecurity Engineer will report directly to you).
• AI-Driven Operations: Utilize AI tools (including Claude CODE and OpenAI) extensively to monitor infrastructure, automate repetitive tasks, and design secure systems.
• Manage Deployments: Oversee production releases and infrastructure migrations. Ensure smooth operations with occasional after-hours coverage by rotation (weekend production support is compensated with paid OT).
• Drive Radical Ownership: Act as an independent problem-solver. You will own the overarching architecture and ensure the team deeply understands the systems they build from end to end.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 4-5+ years of hands-on DevOps and infrastructure experience, with a proven record of architectural leadership. (Financial or fintech industry experience is a plus, but not required).
• Technical Depth: Deep understanding of modern cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. You must be able to clearly articulate architectural choices and past project ownership.
• Modern Mindset & AI Fluency: Mandatory exposure to AI. You must have an adaptable mindset and a genuine passion for technology—we are looking for builders who view tech as more than "just a job."
• Self-Starter Mentality: Ability to thrive in a "no spoon-feeding" culture.
• Assessment Readiness: Must be able to pass a deep-dive technical interview with the CTO and complete a 90-minute live on-the-spot technical test.
