Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to lead a high-performance team and shape cloud architecture across AWS and container platforms. You will drive automation, security, and reliable delivery pipelines in a fintech/blockchain-aligned environment.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in DevOps, strong IaC, and experience with AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development velocity in a regulated digital securities context.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or Systems Engineering with direct line-management experience.
• AWS architecture, IaC mastery (Terraform/CloudFormation), and container orchestration (Docker/ECS).
• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, scripting (Bash, Python, Node.js), and RDS optimization.

Scope of Responsibilities

• People & Performance Management: Lead direct line management, including hiring, firing, policy enforcement, annual reviews, and executing formal Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

• AWS & Infrastructure Architecture: Design, provision, and maintain core AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, Lambda) using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Containers & CI/CD Pipelines: Orchestrate containerized environments (Docker, ECS, Portainer, Coolify) and automate deployment pipelines via Bitbucket Pipelines using Bash, Python, or Node.js.

• AI-Assisted Workflow Integration: Enforce AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as a core team workflow to accelerate scripting, IaC development, and operational velocity.

• Security, Monitoring & Systems Admin: Manage IAM, encryption, backups, Linux/Windows server administration, RDS performance tuning, and monitoring with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or Systems Engineering, with proven direct line-management experience (hiring, offboarding, PIPs, setting policies).

• AWS & IaC Mastery: Deep hands-on expertise with AWS architecture, Terraform or CloudFormation, and Docker/ECS container orchestration.

• AI Tool Proficiency: Essential mastery of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to guide and optimize team operations.

• Pipelines & Systems Administration: Proficiency in Bitbucket Pipelines, scripting (Bash, Python, Node.js), Linux/Windows server management, and RDS optimization.

• Communication & Domain Background: Professional-level English; AWS Certifications and experience in Fintech or Blockchain preferred.
