Job summary

Capcon Asia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior DevOps professional to partner with the Head of Engineering as their right hand for DevOps and cloud initiatives. You will champion a new DevOps culture and shape how the tech team ships, scales, and innovates with end-to-end architectural ownership.

The role requires 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps/SRE/Infra, strong AWS experience, and hands-on ability to design automation and CI/CD pipelines while guiding the team across KL and regional engineering

Job description

• One of the top brokerages for the trading of Stocks, CFD, Forex, Global Futures and Commodities.

Project:

• You will be working closely with the Head of Engineering in KL and be their right hand man for DevOps and Cloud related projects & champion a new DevOps culture
• Be the key driver in designing and implementing the entire DevOps architecture and process flow from the ground up your decisions will shape how the tech team ships, scales, and innovates.

Responsibilities

• Implement DevOps practices, frameworks, architecture, automation, integrations and processes
• Analyse business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for improvement
• Cloud design, strategy and planning
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment
• Design the CI/CD pipelines for various software projects

Must Have:

• HO Engineering has 10+ years fintech experience
• Work with little supervision and contribute ideas / expertise and take ownership
• Work closely with the existing engineers (KL & SG) and potentially build a team in the future

Location:

• Kuala Lumpur (hybrid working arrangement)

Level / Grade:

• This is a senior (hands-on) individual contributor role
• 5+ years recent experience in any combination of Cloud Engineer / DevOps / SRE / Cloud Architect / Infra
• Total experience (min) 10-15+ years (early career may be engineering, network, systems etc)
