Job summary

Sine Classic is seeking a Contract Estimator Executive in Petaling Jaya to deliver accurate cost estimates for commercial renovation projects and support competitive bids. You will analyse plans, gather data, and maintain cost databases while collaborating with project teams to ensure financial viability.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in renovation estimating, strong plan-reading skills, and proficiency with estimating tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Contract Estimator or similar in renovation
• Able to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and drawings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in estimating software and tools (spreadsheets, databases)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs
• Analyse plans, specifications and drawings to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors and stakeholders to verify cost data
• Develop and maintain cost databases for efficient estimating
• Assist in bid proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance
• Stay updated with market trends, prices and regulations to inform recommendations
• Contribute to improving estimating processes and procedures
