Job summary

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing construction contracts, including reviewing, negotiating and finalising contract terms
• Performing quantity surveying duties such as cost estimation, cost control, and measurement works
• Liaising with Consultant, subcontractors, and site personal to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks or issues
• Preparing and submitting progress claims, variation orders, and other contractual documentation
• Providing technical advice and support to the construction team

Shayher Renovation & Builders Sdn Bhd, a member of the Shayher Group of Companies, is seeking a talented Contract Executive/Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role will be responsible for providing strategic contract management and quantity surveying services to support the company's construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and managing construction contracts, including reviewing, negotiating and finalising contract terms
• Performing quantity surveying duties such as cost estimation, cost control, and measurement works
• Liaising with Consultant, subcontractors, and site personal to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks or issues
• Preparing and submitting progress claims, variation orders, and other contractual documentation
• Providing technical advice and support to the construction team

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar contract management or quantity surveying role, preferably in the construction industry. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost estimation, and project management principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with consultant, subcontractors, and team members
• Proficient in the use of relevant software tools, such as Microsoft Office, construction estimating software (Cost X & Glodon), and project management applications
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
