Job summary

Pentamaster Corporation Berhad is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our Penang engineering team. This full-time role centers on designing, implementing and optimising advanced automation systems to boost productivity and efficiency.

You will report to senior management and drive automation initiatives across operations, mentoring junior staff and ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

5–10+ years in automation engineering with at least 3 years in senior or managerial roles.
Experience designing and deploying automated systems in manufacturing settings.
Strong knowledge of IEC 61131-3 standards and PLC programming.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement automation systems tailored to operational needs.
Lead planning and deployment of industrial automation projects end-to-end.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specs.
Oversee integration of PLCs, HMIs and related automation hardware.
Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
