Job summary

Swiss Re in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Principal Auditor to provide independent assurance over Asia Pacific risks. You will partner with APAC Audit Director and peers to deliver risk-based audits, contribute to regional risk assessments, and strengthen governance and controls across the region.

You will assess complex processes, develop practical recommendations and engage with senior executives, regional leadership and stakeholders across APAC.

Qualifications

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Business or Finance.
• CPA/CA/CIA/CISA preferred.
• At least 5 years in audit (external or internal).
• Experience in (re)insurance and actuarial domains is a plus.
• Knowledge of Asia regulatory landscape and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned audit tasks through planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting.
• Contribute to risk assessment by analysing emerging risks and controls.
• Apply actuarial/finance/underwriting domain knowledge to audits.
• Provide evidence-based insights to senior management.
• Support material preparation for committees and regulatory reporting.
• Build stakeholder relationships across first and second lines of defence.
• Deliver objectives in strategic GIA initiatives.
• Leverage data analytics and AI to enhance audits.
