Job summary

HAITIAN MACHINERY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a skilled sheet metal laser cutting operator to read drawings, set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, and ensure part quality.

Qualifications

• Able to read sheet metal drawings and use measuring tools.
• Familiar with CNC laser cutting machine operations and basic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cutting parameters for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Basic understanding of quality control, workplace safety, and 5S practices.
• Previous experience in sheet metal laser cutting operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Read and verify sheet metal drawings, cutting programs, material specifications, and production requirements.
• Prepare and operate laser cutting machines, ensuring proper machine settings and material loading.
• Perform first-piece inspections and monitor cutting quality, adjusting parameters when necessary.
• Remove burrs, sort, label, and organize finished parts according to production orders.
• Conduct daily machine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Record production output, report defects, and ensure product quality.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain 5S standards.
