Job summary

Malakoff is seeking a Land Expert (Project Development – Energy Projects) to lead land acquisition, access, and administration for energy project development in Malaysia. You will coordinate with project teams, authorities, and external consultants to ensure timely progress and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in land acquisition, management, or administration.
• Experience with energy, infrastructure, utilities, or large-scale development projects is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate land acquisition, land access, and land administration activities for energy project development
• Liaise with relevant authorities, land offices, and regulatory bodies on land related approvals and documentation
• Manage negotiations with landowners, stakeholders, and local communities regarding land matters
• Conduct land due diligence, title verification, and land status assessments for potential project sites
• Support project teams in resolving land issues that may impact project timelines or development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Management, Real Estate, Surveying, Law, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in land acquisition, land management, or land administration
• Experience supporting energy, infrastructure, utilities, or large scale development projects will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of land regulations, land title processes, and dealings with land authorities
• Experience managing negotiations with landowners and stakeholders
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
