With significant investments in renewable energy, waste-to-energy, circular economy initiatives, ESG governance, and decarbonisation strategies, we are seeking an experienced Sustainability professional to drive our sustainability agenda and support the Group’s long-term transition towards a low‑carbon future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Group’s sustainability and ESG strategies, policies, and initiatives.
- Drive sustainability programmes across environmental, social, and governance pillars in alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage sustainability reporting, disclosures, and compliance with relevant frameworks including Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting requirements, GRI, TCFD, ISSB, and other emerging standards.
- Monitor ESG performance indicators, carbon emissions, climate-related risks, and sustainability targets across the Group.
- Support the development and execution of decarbonisation, climate transition, circular economy, and renewable energy initiatives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, customers, consultants, and industry bodies on sustainability-related matters.
- Conduct materiality assessments and identify emerging ESG trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide strategic advice to business units on sustainability integration, responsible business practices, and ESG risk management.
- Facilitate sustainability awareness programmes and strengthen sustainability culture throughout the organisation.
- Support sustainability‑related ratings, assessments, audits, and assurance exercises.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Management, Climate Change, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Manager: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management, Climate Strategy, or Corporate Responsibility.
- Senior Manager: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within energy, utilities, infrastructure, environmental services, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, carbon management, climate risk, and regulatory developments.
- Experience in preparing Sustainability Reports and managing ESG disclosures.
- Familiarity with renewable energy, energy transition, circular economy, carbon reduction initiatives, or environmental solutions will be an added advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional sustainability initiatives.
