Job summary

Mega Intelligent Chemicals Sdn Bhd invites a Diploma or Degree holder to join as a laboratory trainee. This practical role focuses on testing, QC, material inspection and on-site support, with on-the-job training to build hands-on experience in concrete admixtures and construction chemicals.

You will prepare samples, record results, assist with quality checks, operate lab equipment, and support testing activities at the factory and on-site as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a related field required.
• Experience in laboratory testing is an advantage.
• Willing to work in a laboratory and factory environment.
• Hands-on attitude and good record-keeping.

Responsibilities

Mega Intelligent Chemicals Sdn Bhd specialises in concrete admixtures and construction chemicals. This is a practical role involving laboratory testing, quality control, material inspection, and technical support. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and gain practical experience in the concrete admixture and construction chemicals industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples and carry out routine laboratory testing for raw materials, concrete admixtures, and related products.
• Record and maintain accurate test results, sample records, and laboratory documentation.
• Assist with quality control checks and material inspections.
• Assist with the testing and evaluation of concrete admixtures and construction chemical products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and measuring tools.
• Assist the Technical Officer with laboratory, factory, and on-site testing activities when required.
• Report unusual or inconsistent test results and assist with basic technical investigations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory and working environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Experience in laboratory testing, concrete, concrete admixtures, construction chemicals, raw materials, or quality control is an advantage.
• Relevant internship or practical laboratory experience is an advantage.
• Able to understand and interpret basic technical data and test results.
• Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work as part of a team.
• Positive and hands-on attitude.
