(CCCC Malaysia) seeks a Technical Material Validation professional to perform comprehensive testing of construction materials both in the field and in the laboratory, ensuring traceability through rigorous chain-of-custody procedures. The role requires experience in material testing, familiarity with CIDB/JKR/ISO standards, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Qualifications

• Academic excellence with a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing, sampling, and examination of construction materials in-situ and in the laboratory.
• Oversee chain of custody and documentation for traceability from site to lab.
• Interpret test findings and produce technical reports to support quality initiatives.
• Lead calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for laboratory equipment.
• Manage external agencies and translate technical documents for multilingual teams.
• Provide rapid technical support for urgent site tasks as required by the Project Management team.

Job description

Technical Material Validation: Execute comprehensive testing, sampling, and examination of construction materials (concrete, soil, aggregates, etc.) both in-situ (field) and within the laboratory environment.

Chain of Custody Management: Oversee the secure transit and meticulous documentation of material samples, ensuring full traceability from the project site to the laboratory for analysis.

Analytical Reporting: Interpret and analyze test findings to produce technical reports, driving internal quality initiatives and continuous improvement in documentation standards.

Precision Maintenance: Lead the calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for all laboratory equipment to ensure 100% accuracy in technical data.

External Liaison & Communication: Manage technical interactions with external testing agencies and consultants; oversee the accurate translation of technical documentation for multi-lingual operational teams.

Operational Agility: Provide rapid response and technical support for urgent site-specific tasks and troubleshooting as required by the Project Management team.

Job Requirements

Academic Excellence: Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Technical Expertise: Proven experience in construction material testing (Field & Lab) is highly preferred.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Malaysian construction standards (e.g., CIDB, JKR specifications, or ISO/IEC 17025).

Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly in both English and Bahasa Melayu.

Work Ethics: A proactive "can-do" attitude with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
