Job summary

Taylor's University Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated facilities assistant to carry out day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of laboratories, glassware, and related supplies, ensuring that all spaces are clean, sanitary and aseptic for teaching and research.

Ideal candidates have PMR or SPM, at least 3 years of relevant experience in an educational institution, strong English, and the ability to plan, coordinate and work with minimal supervision; willingness to work beyond normal hours is required.

Qualifications

• PMR or SPM is required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in an educational sector.
• Must communicate politely with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic.
• Dusts and wipes lab equipment, tables/workbenches, models and trolleys.
• Scrubs shelves, racks, tables, work benches and sinks using cleaning solutions.
• Washing, rinsing and drying lab glassware and utensils.
• Rearranging glassware and utensils after drying.
• Checking and refilling soap, detergents and distilled water.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Job description

The incumbent is to carry out the day-to-day maintenance activities containing scientific apparatus, laboratory supplies/glassware and experimental practical/projects.

Key result areas / responsibilities

• Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic
• Dusting and wiping lab equipment, tables/workbenches, models and trolleys using rags.
• Scrubs shelves, racks, tables, work benches and sinks using cleaning solutions and brushes.
• Washing, rinsing, drying lab glassware and utensils.
• Rearranging of glassware and utensils at the designated cabinet/place after drying.
• Checking and refilling of soap dispenser, detergent/wash bottles and distilled water containers.
• To assist and perform other duties as and when required,

Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification

PMR or SPM

Related Experience

Preferably at least 3 years relevant working experience, preferably in an educational institution
