Job summary

Xepa-Soul Pattinson (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Laboratory/Quality Control role to perform sampling, testing and data integrity tasks across incoming materials, process stages and finished products. The role supports stability studies and aligns with safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will operate testing equipment, ensure compliance with MS ISO/IEC 17025, ISO9001, ISO13485, EU GMP and related regulations, and assist in investigations and corrective actions, while

Qualifications

• Diploma in science or related field preferred.
• SPM or equivalent high school graduate acceptable.
• Good communication and team work.
• Able to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, inspections, physical and chemical testing of incoming material and in-process quality checks.
• Conduct Finished Product and Stability study testing as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain data integrity in ALCOA+ manner with real-time logging and stamped records.
• Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation for tests, verification or process support.
• Carry out instrument calibration, verification and routine maintenance.
• Support junior laboratory personnel and escalate non-conformances to supervisor.
• Assist with additional tasks as required by supervisor.

Job description

Responsible to perform sampling, inspections, physical and chemical testing of the In-coming material, In-process quality control testing, Finished Product (including new product, reformulated product and current commercial product), Stability Study product section, and/or otherwise instructed by the Superior.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To adhere on compliance to safety rules, Good Laboratory Practices, MS ISO/IEC 17025, ISO9001, ISO13485, EU GMP, PICs/GMP and other applicable Standards in Xepa-Soul Pattinson.
2. To practice data integrity ALCOA+ concepts throughout the testing activity such as logbooks usage adherence and update, time stamp, on real time recording, adhere to the written and approved procedure and etc.
3. To perform sampling, inspections, physical and chemical testing of the In-coming material, In-process quality check, Finished Product, Stability study product section and/or otherwise instructed by the Superior.
4. To adhere and comply to the defined planning by the superior on any testing and laboratory activities.
5. To set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, verification / validation or process support.
6. To perform laboratory instrument calibration, verification and maintenance according to established methods as necessary.
7. To perform laboratory housekeeping, highlighting safety concern, cleaning glassware, supporting glassware calibration, assisting in chemical inventory maintenance, verifying validity of reagents used on the daily job and document scanning and/or filing.
8. To provide assistance to junior laboratory personnel.
9. To elevate to the Superior in the event of Non-conformance, failure, deviation or any abnormalities, safety issues and participate in investigations.
10. To assist and support for other additional tasks given by the superior.
