Kings University College in Kuala Lumpur seeks a laboratory professional to oversee receipt, accessioning, preparation, and preservation of biological specimens, following SOPs and chain-of-custody protocols. • Oversee the receipt, accessioning, preparation, and preservation of biological specimens following standard operating procedures and chain-of-custody protocols
• Perform high-complexity testing across Hematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics (PCR), Histopathology, and Transfusion Medicine
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on automated laboratory analyzers, thermocyclers, centrifuges, and microscopic equipment
• Implement and monitor daily Quality Control (QC) protocols and evaluate Levey-Jennings charts
• Investigate out-of-spec results and ensure adherence to ISO 15189 and local health authority regulatory standards
• Validate test results and log critical findings into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Coordinate with pathologists and medical clinicians for urgent critical-value notifications
• Enforce strict BSL-2/BSL-3 safety practices and manage hazardous waste disposal
• Oversee chemical hygiene plans and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) standards
• Track consumption rates, monitor shelf life, and manage procurement for reagents, diagnostic kits, controls, and laboratory consumables

This role involves overseeing the receipt, accessioning, preparation, and preservation of biological specimens (blood, tissue, fluids, swabs) following standard operating procedures and chain-of-custody protocols. You will perform high-complexity testing across core laboratory divisions including Hematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics (PCR), Histopathology, and Transfusion Medicine.
